Welcome to the Jazz Dance Intensive LONDON 2025 at the amazing Sadlers Wells Studios in London.Where dancers from around the world converge in the heart of London for an unforgettable experience. The two day Jazz Dance Intensive will take place on Saturday August 9th and Sunday August 10th. Join us for a transformative journey through the vibrant world of jazz dance, guided by esteemed faculty members and enriched by a community of passionate dancers. Whether you’re looking to refine your technique, explore new styles, or connect with fellow enthusiasts, this intensive offers something for everyone. The UPROOTED jazz dance educational mission is to physically explore the historical roots of jazz dance with some of the industry’s finest educators, including some of the films very own artists and experts. Classes include African dance, AfroBeat, Commercial Jazz, Authentic Jazz & Social Dance, Theatrical Jazz, Matt Mattox based isolation technique and Fosse.
Our jazz dance intensives bring some of the finest educators and artists together in one course. They each bring their extensive knowledge about the historical context of the jazz dance art form into the dance studio, leaving the dancers with a deeper understanding about the historical roots of jazz dance.

SWEDEN 2025
We are thrilled to be collaborating with Stockholm University and Ballettakedemien to bring our 3 day jazz dance intensive to Sweden. The Intensive kicks off on Monday 11th August with a screening of the film with a post-panel discussion. The dance intensive runs Tuesday 12th - 14th 10am - 6pm everyday. It is designed for both dancers and teachers. We will physically explore and discuss the deep roots of jazz dance with our stellar UPROOTED educators.

Experience the Intensive
Prepare for an enriching daily schedule from 10am to 6pm, featuring four 90-minute classes, interactive community cooldowns, and insightful discussions. Our program is designed to cater to dancers aged 15 and older, offering a diverse range of styles and techniques that celebrate the essence of jazz dance. Classes will include African Dance, Commercial Jazz, Matt Mattox inspired isolation technique technique,, AfoBeat, Lindy Hop & Social Dance, Theatre Dance and Fosse.
